1、 Working principle of automatic biological toxicity detector
Biological toxicity indicators are used to monitor water pollution based on the biological activity of aquatic organisms such as bioluminescent bacteria, water fleas, fish, etc. Compared to physical and chemical indicators such as pH, conductivity, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, total phosphorus and total nitrogen, biological toxicity indicators can more accurately reflect the comprehensive pollution situation of water bodies.Based on the inhibitory effect of toxic substances in water on luminescent bacteria, the comprehensive toxicity level of water samples can be determined by measuring the changes in luminescent intensity of luminescent bacteria. Luminescent bacteria produce blue-green light during metabolism, and toxic substances in water can inhibit their normal metabolism, leading to a decrease in luminescence intensity. The greater the toxicity, the lower the luminescence intensity. Simultaneously measure the luminescence intensity of luminescent bacteria in both the test water sample and the reference water to improve measurement reliability and avoid false alarms or omissions.
